Your books are some of the most sensitive records your business keeps. This is how Foderis looks after them.

Kept in Australia

Your data is stored in Amazon Web Services' Sydney region and is never copied outside Australia, including backups. The AI that reads receipts and suggests categories runs on Amazon Bedrock in Australia, sees only your own business's data, and is not trained on it.

Encrypted

Every connection uses HTTPS. Your data, files and backups are encrypted at rest with keys held in AWS Key Management Service.

Two-step sign-in for everyone

Every Foderis account uses an authenticator app as well as a password. It cannot be turned off.

Your business only

Each business's records are separated in the database itself, not only in the app, and automated tests check on every change that one business can never see another's. People you invite get the access you choose, such as read-only for your accountant.

Support sees nothing unless you say so

Our staff cannot see your financial records. If you need help, the owner can grant support read-only access for a limited time. Every request made with that access is recorded and shown to you.

Payments and connections

Card details are handled by Stripe; Foderis never sees them. Stripe keys you connect are read-only, encrypted as soon as they are saved, and never shown again.

Backups you can count on

The database can be restored to any point in the last 35 days. We restore a full copy every quarter to check that it works.

Yours to take with you

You can download everything at any time: your records as spreadsheets plus every receipt and statement. If you close your account, you have 90 days to change your mind, and then it is deleted.
